Formative Influence explores the transformative power of light across five bodies of work from Dylan Bartolini-Volk
Inspired by the landscapes of Northern California and the American West, the exhibition examines the shift from photography, where light is observed and captured, to painting, where light is created to shape new visual experiences.
Rather than documenting the landscape, these works evoke its emotional resonance, emphasizing atmosphere, memory, and perception over literal representation.
