I studied painting and design at Paier School of Art, Coronado School of Fine Arts and Philadelphia College of Art. I’m retired now from a forty year career as a designer. I have been teaching painting (with watercolor) for ten years, first in Mill Valley and now at Falkirk Cultural Center and Corte Madera and Belvedere Community Centers.
In Oakland, I help with California Watercolor’s Community Outreach program teaching Vietnam veterans. I taught design at a university in Montréal and at the Academy of Art University in San Francisco. And I teach for several weeks each year at Yosemite in their artists in residency program through the Yosemite Conservancy. I was the board of directors of the California Watercolor Association and was Director of their Member Shows and National Exhibition for four years each. I taught a workshop at La Romita School of Art in Umbria, Italy in 2023 and am returning this summer to teach again (6/28-7/8)…
I’m an elected member of the BayWood Artist for the last five years. Baywood Artists paint (en plain air) through the summer and have a show and sale in the Fall to raise money for non-profit organizations doing environmental work.
Artist Type: Visual Artist; painter - teacher (watercolor)
