Career Development Grants
Career Development Grants are designed to enable Marin artists to pursue opportunities which further their professional artistic development. Examples include (but are not limited to) attending a booking conference or audition, purchase of a specific piece of equipment, or professional documentation of an artist's work. These grants are open to artists in all disciplines. The maximum grant amount is $1,500.

2008-09 Deadlines are as follows: September 30, 2008, January 15, 2009. There will be a third deadline in the late spring, 2009, TBD.
Applications available Early August 2008.

Community Arts Partnership Grants
Community Arts Partnership Grants of $5,000 or less are available for community based projects that involve partnerships between Marin-based arts organizations and artists for partnership projects between an artist or artists and community institutions, organizations or groups. This program encourages people to experience and practice the creative process through local, community-based art activities, and encourages professional artists to become involved in the cultural life of their home communities. We seek to generate excitement about the role of the arts in our community, to expand the experience and practice of the arts to people with otherwise limited opportunities, and to encourage the creation of new work or experiences. Grants require a one to one match in cash or donated services or materials.

The deadline is Monday, October 20, 2008 for projects happening in calendar year 2009.
Applications available in late August, 2008.
